AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP) will present its range of medical-grade metal products at the 2021 MD&M Minneapolis show from 3-4 November in booth 1924.

The product range includes high quality metal tube, strip, wire, and powder in high-performance alloys to deliver excellent strength-to-weight ratios, biocompatibility and corrosion resistance required in state-of-the-art medical devices. AMETEK SMP will be showcasing latest innovative medical materials at MD&M Minneapolis with the following brands:

Hamilton Precision Metals rolls metal strip and foil products to the tightest tolerances and thinnest gauges in the industry, down to 1.5 microns (.000060”) in thickness. Medical-grade alloys including titanium Ti CP (Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 4), as well as Ti 3AI-2.5V (Grade 9). Critical medical applications include implanted devices, arterial stents, surgical instrumentation, pacemaker and neurostimulator enclosures.

AMETEK Wallingford manufactures high purity nickel strip for battery connectors as well as specialty shaped wire for orthodontic brackets and channel wire for superconductors in MRI scanners.

US-based Superior Tube and UK-based Fine Tubes, custom-manufacture high quality precision metal tubes in stainless steel and titanium alloys. Applications include heart valves, stents, pacemakers, orthopedics, and surgical instruments.
