We offer two high-purity, roll-compacted nickel strip grades as specialty alternatives to traditional Nickel 200 strip and Nickel 201 strip.
Engineered for superior performance, our roll-compacted materials deliver higher purity than standard wrought and cast Nickel 200 and 201 strip - enhancing electrical conductivity, weldability, and performance.
Our Superior Quality Alternatives to Nickel 200 and 201 Strip
Nickel 899L: High-Purity Strip with Enhanced Conductivity
Nickel 899L is a high-purity grade that delivers significantly better electrical conductivity than standard Nickel 200 and 201 (UNS N02200, N02201), while closely matching their mechanical properties. This combination of high conductivity and mechanical strength makes 899L an excellent choice for critical battery and energy storage applications.
Nickel 899M: Strong Mechanical Performance Without Elevated Conductivity
Our Nickel 899M grade is engineered as a direct replacement for conventional Nickel 200 and 201 strip (UNS N02200, N02201). It offers comparable mechanical characteristics without the elevated conductivity levels found in higher-purity grades like 899L and
899A (Nickel 270). This makes it a dependable option for applications where mechanical integrity is key and conductivity is not a primary concern.
Why Choose Pure Nickel 200 and 201 Strip?
Our low-temperature roll-compaction process minimizes impurities to ensures exceptional purity in our Nickel 200 and 201 strip, delivering key benefits to the battery industry:
- High Purity: Exceeds conventional wrought and cast nickel strip purities.
- Superior Conductivity: Reduced impedance enables higher conductivity for improved power transmission.
- Enhanced Weldability: Homogeneous microstructure, micro cleanliness and precise composition control support high-quality weldability.
- Outstanding Formability: For complex battery component geometries and high-throughput production environments.
- Reliable Cladding Performance: For enhanced battery longevity.

Nickel 200 and 201 Strip Applications
Our Nickel 200 and 201 strip are typically used in applications that demand excellent electrical conductivity and strong corrosion resistance. Typical uses include battery connectors and tabs, essential for assembling multiple NiMH, NiCd, or Li-Ion batteries into packs.
These battery packs are widely used in consumer electronics, electric vehicles, cardiac pacemaker cells, energy storage systems for data centers, and aerospace batteries
